“Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; 2 Corinthians 9: 6-8 (NASB)

Stated another way, Michael Yousef, the very strong evangelist pastor of Church of the Apostles, Atlanta, Georgia, says: “…one of the primary obstacle to good stewardship is our own comfort. Many believe the false gospel of “safe Christianity” that requires no risk, no faith, and no sacrifice. But the Christian faith was never meant to be a spectator sport.” “And as we begin to understand the greatness of God’s grace, we no longer give just to feel good, to ease the conscience, or to receive the praise of men-we give joyfully as an act of worship to God who was first generous to us. We give our best instead of our leftovers.” Excerpted from Living Generously, a publication of Leading the Way by Michael Yousef, June 2015.

Asado Ministries has had numerous marvelous encounters with the organization called Generous Giving. These great folks never ask for donations, nor do they collect nor solicit funds. Generous Giving helps people discover the great joy of giving. They share the message of biblical generosity, encouraging people to embrace a lifestyle of giving. Generous Giving was founded in 2000 by The Maclellan Foundation. This Foundation continues to fully and privately fund the work of Generous Giving. We would urge all who donate to Asado Ministries or to any church or other 501 c 3 organization, to visit Generous Giving’s website and to strongly consider being part of one of their meetings to explore what it really means to be a generous giver where one discovers that freedom from anxiety is one of the inward evidences of seeking first the Kingdom of God. Please review a few of their inspirational videos we have attached with their express permission. You will be blessed!

Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. 18 Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, 19 storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed”.       1 Timothy 6: 17-19 (ESV)

We hope you will decide to enter joyfully with us to support any one or all of these projects we have discovered in our travels to Uruguay that are intended to give glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
