One of the Pastors we have given funds to over the last few years is Hugo Piriz. Pastor Piriz is also a PhD counselor at Youth for Christ, a very large Christian organization in Uruguay.
The heart of Pastor Piriz has been captured by the work being done by the Christian Evangelical Church in Montevideo. This church is committed to drug rehabilitation work on a farm they now own two miles outside the city of Montevideo. Pastor Piriz is an author who has written numerous pamphlets and small readers about various Christians who have made a mark on Uruguay. His Jabez book is about the drug rehab program of the Christian Evangelical Church.
Asado Ministries is pleased to have contributed approximately $20,000 towards the infrastructure of the drug rehab program. Carmen and I spend time “on campus” whenever we travel to Uruguay. We personally witnessed the agricultural work of the drug rehab program that makes a modest profit. We hope to continue to support the program so that it will be more conformed to the model of No Longer Bound in Cumming, Georgia.
