Alejandro Huerta and his wife have run a ministry for underprivileged children in the countryside of Uruguay for over 20 years.

They have a huge, commercial bus, converted into a classroom. They load up a large white tent that could house a full-blown state-side revival. They give advance notice to numerous cities, towns and agricultural areas along the coast of Uruguay (Atlantic Ocean). Their objective is to bring the Gospel to the children in remote areas of the country. It is like a Vacation Bible Schools on wheels. They feed the children, play games and have fun with them and then teach them the Word of God, many of them not having ever heard the Good News of the Gospel.

These events take place during Uruguayan’s summer, January, February and part of March each year.

At the end of their summer, (March), Pastor Huerta invites hundreds of children to the main camp site near Rocha called Alpha Camp. This is an oceanside “resort” where Pastor Huerta continues with the Gospel presentation in a vacation Bible school setting. This location/facility needs renovations and repairs so much so that Gaston Vallejo (a certified architect and son of Pastor Dumas Vallejo) has created a rendering of the new building they want to build on the same site. No doubt this is a 3-5 years project. Asado Ministries would like to donate substantial funds to make the project achievable in 2 years.

There are also multiple opportunities for young adults 16-20 years old to come from Atlanta, Georgia, to assist Pastor Huerta with the trainings which would also give the Atlanta young adults a chance to be fully immersed in Spanish language skills.

Lastly, the two huge (25 seat) busses that are used for the Carpa Ministries, need serious repairs and maintenance up keep. We would like to help with the effort which would cost about $2,000 per year. We are seeking partners. Will you join us?
