I have known Herman and Amalia since November 2000. Herman and Amalia have a Menonite background. This couple had a vision to establish a church in a poor but hopefully up and coming neighborhood which ultimately has become a flourishing church, called Paso de L’ Arena. Other information on in website details more information about this church and its success. Herman is the senior pastor for Bella Vista Church.
Herman and Amalia seek to engage in another church planting operation. The location is in Montes, a city located about 80 miles north of Montevideo. There is a small structure that they are using now and there is a core of dedicated Christians who are assuming the leadership roles. Herman travels to this location to preach on a monthly basis.
Asado Ministries welcomes an opportunity to join Herman and Amalia on their second church plant which we hope will be as successful as the first. I have observed a few things over the 15 years about Herman and Amalia: they do quality work; they are dependable; and they are obedient to the call of the Holy Spirit. I am hoping that others will want to join with us in this church planting where there is no other Christian church presence than this church in Montes. Amazing!
